Q1 2024 Performance of Top Film & Television Apps on Android in Europe

The European Android market has shown varying performance among the top Film & Television applications in the first quarter of 2024. Data from Sensor Tower provides a clear view of how these apps have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Disney+ saw its revenue fluctuate, starting at $3.1M and peaking at $3.5M in the last week of March. Downloads showed a decreasing trend from 331K in the first week to 262K by the end of March, while weekly active users experienced a slight rebound from 9.5M to 10.5M.

Crunchyroll enjoyed a revenue peak of $701K in late February, with a general downward trend in downloads, starting at 94K and reducing to 64K. Weekly active users for Crunchyroll remained relatively stable around the 1.2M mark.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies showed modest revenue figures starting at $358K and ending the quarter with $363K. Downloads for HBO Max were highest at the end of January with 109K and saw a dip to 75K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decrease from 653K to 596K.

Paramount+ displayed a steady revenue stream with a high of $224K in the last week of February. Downloads peaked at 88K in the first week of February, then declined to 56K by March end. Weekly active users saw a slight increase from 373K to 330K over the quarter.

discovery+ | Stream TV Shows revenue started at $166K and ended the quarter at a similar level of $197K. Downloads began at 30K and showed some volatility, ending at 27K. Active users hovered around 160K-180K throughout the quarter.
